Stables Villa M.

The renovation plan for the interior of this private home called for a restoration of the spatial values of the original layout.

The stables have been renovated at various times altering their essential character and transforming what had originally been an inseparable whole into accessory building on the margins. In particular, the historical setting on the ground floor is remarkable: no longer used as a stable, the aim was to recover the strong symbolic value of the place, also through finishings and materials. This led to the choice of wood flooring in natural oiled oak laid in a 30° herring-bone pattern.
