Villa on Lake Como

In a villa on Lake Como where interior and exterior closely interact, spatial continuity is obtained through the intersection of its floors.

The large windows convey a spaciousness to the interiors and allow a great deal of light to come in. Significantly contributing to dividing interior from exterior was the choice of flooring in brushed and stained oak. Outside, teak boards represent a clear demarcation between the area that is “lived in” and the natural space.
