Grand Hotel Tremezzo, indoor

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo, one of the most luxurious in the world, is an Art Noveau icon and major tourist attraction on the western shores of Lake Como.

In the rooms of the Palace, in keeping with the architectural style and historic furnishings the geometric floor design  was done in American walnut and oak with the billiard room in wengè and maple and the reading room in wengè, maple and walnut to create a high impact reception atmosphere.

The suites on the upper floors combine the exclusiveness of Italy’s number 1 hotel with the kind of welcome only these environments can provide, each with its own unique personality, but all sharing the same stunning view of the Lake. The exquisite square patterned floors in American walnut and oak and the American red elm floorboards complement and embellish the suites with their fine materials and finishes. In some suites, where there was once an important solid pitch pine floor, special restoration work was carried out in accordance with the customer’s design.

In the SPA area where the right furnishings are vital for creating a feeling of wellness, straight teak floor boards were laid down, while for the adjacent shop a stained oak floor with a 45° herringbone pattern was chosen.
